In the hole of a trunk,
where a destitute old man lie,
thinking of the misfortunes
that befallen upon him.
He, was once rich and mighty,
owning all the riches of the world.
But a turn of events left him in that sorry state.
Now, he lives in that hole in the tree trunk,
together with the little squirrels.
No money,
no gold,
no jewels.
Only an empty hole.
The squirrels bring him food,
and the tree provide him shelter.
He thought to himself,
"Was he really happier in the past,
when he owned the riches?"
He thought for a long long time.
Finally when he found an answer,
he realised it was in fact,
a blessing in disguise.
In the past,
he felt emptiness from within
was like a bottomless pit,
for no one cared for him.
They only cared for his money.
Now, the emptiness within the hole
is filled with the riches of the world.
Rich with love between him and the squirrels.
Thinking of this,
the old man curled up in his sleep,
with a smile on his face.

life and death
What is life and what is death?
At certain points in life, I believe most of us would have asked ourselves this question. I don't think there's a true answer to this. Why do people sometimes just go like that? This we will never fully understand. Some say fate. But can fate never be changed?
Some things will be left unanswered forever. Research and development may be rapidly growing but can one be absolutely sure that the findings are a hundred percent true? I doubt so.
Are the past beliefs true? I really would like to know. But I guess it's something we humans can never find out. Are they just myths waiting to be retold? Or are there people who came back from the dead to tell the living about the world on the other side.
What happens when humans die? Different people believe in different stories. How I wish some day soon science can explain everything. But on the other hand, I feel somehow that it's daunting. Maybe some things are better off left unsaid or unexplained.
A fine line can be drawn between life and death. Many a time we see people just pass away for almost no logical reason. So is there a distiction between the two. The line seems blurrer now that many scientists and psychologists from all over the world are trying to investigate life after death. It indeed causes our hair to raise sometimes, when unbelievable findings rip into our minds.

live your life wisely
How are you living your life? And how wise is wise? In my opinion, there're a bounderless definitions of these.
I sometimes wonder. "How do I want my life to be?"
Maybe people will argue about life being predestined. In a way, maybe. But is there no way you can change it? In fact, I strongly believe that one should pursue his or her aspirations without fear or fervour, within legal means of course.
What is life without enjoyment? Of course, not every materialistic thing will bring enjoyment. My definition of enjoyment would be something that would inevitably bring a smile to your face. Be it doing charity, doing your best at work or in school, purchasing material goods, achievement of something, etc. People around often bemoan that life is too short to enjoy. I think otherwise. Look at the blissful old people in Japan. I believe they have much to share about life. And when interviewed by some press, most of them have often expressed much happiness about their life. So why complain about life when you can seize the opportunity to make the most out of this seemingly short endeavour? Sometimes, setbacks may actually be a blessing in disguise.
Let's all look forward and make our lives worthwhile!

Dreams
Dreams are what we desire.
Dreams are the secret driving force behind our success.
Dreams allows us to fantasize.
Dreams are aims.
Dreams let us soar high.
Dreams bring us sweet memories.
Dreams hold us strong in determination.
Dreams push us one step closer to that sweet end.
Dreams make life much more meaningful.
Dreams make us want to forge ahead.
