Believe in yourself

The strength lies in every single one of us.

How many of you are guilty of saying things like "I can't possibly succeed doing this!", "Are you sure I'll be able to do this?", "Impossible!", "I can't!" and so on? I'm sure most of us are guilty of this.
When we doubt our own ability, how then do we expect others to put full trust in us when a particular task or job is assigned to us?

Let me share an experience of my own.
I once used to claim that I really can't achieve many things. That was a few years ago when I was in junior college. Of course I still tried my best, I still didn't do that well in the end. I asked myself, "Why did this happen?" To say the truth, my primary school years and secondary school years were very much a breeze although I did have to struggle a little and work extremely hard for my olevels. So my results for Alevels did hit me quite hard. After much thinking, I found the answer to it. Somehow, I allowed myself to think that it's too difficult to achieve good results and so it'll always remain like that no matter how hard I work.

However, everything's going well in university as I now believe in myself and my own abilities. Of course, doing something you are passionate in is important too. Now that I'm studying something of my passion, it becomes studying for the quest and enjoyment of learning about it rather than just study for the sake of the piece of certificate, which if otherwise would make it hard for us to get a decent job. So I believe very strongly that we should follow our hearts and believe in ourselves.

My experience above may not be something very big, but it does prove that the amount of belief you put in yourself will definitely affect what you achieve. So please, my dearest readers, I hope there's a sort of motivation here and that you'll start believing in yourself.
